SORRY COULD NOT FIND THE SHIP ON YOUR LIST...
We,admittedly, were somewhat uncertain as to whether a River Cruise might be right for us...after all the luxury of size allows for so many extra attractions! How wrong we were...the Peter Deilmann week's adventure taking us from Lyons as far as Avignon and back simply could not have been bettered. The little harbours allowed us to truly explore the wonderful countryside while, of course, there was so much character about this whole wine-growing area. There were only around a hundred of us on a ship which could take twice as many
Cabins were immaculate, food was really something else with so much attention given to detail and service of the highest possible order. The number on board ensured you really got to know fellow passengers and, mainly British and German, they were indeed a very interesting party. The instrumentalist on board worked very hard indeed and there were a good many special events such as quizzes and wine tastings as an integral of the whole arrangement
This was certainly an experience which we would love to repeat....for instance coming up the Rhone into Lyons with the superb lighting on all the bridges was a superb finale to an experience which we would be delighted to repeat. After this great experience, we certainly believe that small is beautiful
