Crystal Increase Penthouses

Crystal Cruises are increasing the number of luxurious Penthouse suites on Crystal Serenity – due to high demand from cruisers. During a dry-dock period from 12th November 2008, Crystal is converting twelve category AA Deluxe Saterooms on deck ten, into eight penthouses. This decrease in passenger capacity is unlike many other cruise lines, who are actually increasing the size of their ships. When the full conversion is complete, Crystal Serenity will have a total of seventy-two penthouses as well as thirty-two penthouse suites – in addition to four luxurious 1,345 sq. ft. Crystal Penthouses.

The penthouses have personal butler service, large private verandas, a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, walk-in wardrobe, flat screen televisions and a bar stocked with complimentary wine – all in a 403 sq. ft. area. Guests can also order food to their penthouse from the speciality restaurants onboard. "Penthouses are among the most coveted accommodations on our ships," says Thomas Mazloum, senior vice president, hotel operations.
